Given its location to the Port of Tauranga, Mount Maunganui is also the main industrial centre hosting a diverse range of industrial and commercial activities.
Key economic drivers of the region include tourism, kiwifruit, horticulture, pastoral farming viticulture, housing and exporting. The Port of Tauranga is New Zealands largest export port by volume. Tauranga and Mount Maunganui have an excellent climate with one of New Zealand’s highest recorded number of sunshine days.
