Lynette BakerGary and Lynette have entered real estate after 40 years of being involved in the building industry. Gary started back in 1969 as an apprentice carpenter in Palmerston North. When they were married in 1973, the building industry was second nature to Lynette, with her father having also been a builder. Together they have used their skills to complete loads of developments starting back in Palmerston North and continuing in Tauranga since moving here in 1988 with their family. Their early involvement was with spec building and then group house building. Over the past 15 years it has been more in the re development of prime existing sites within Tauranga. This work has seen them complete a number of major renovations along with other townhouse and apartment complexes. Both play golf at Tauranga Golf Club where Gary is a Past President and Club Captain. Lynette is currently the Secretary for woman’s golf. Other interests include fishing, shooting and rugby. These interests have seen Gary take up positions such as President of the Rifle Rod and Gun Club and chairman of the Kai Toa Rugby Club back in Palmerston North. Their desire to combine travel with All Black tours has seen them follow the team to Australia, South Africa and the UK. When the offer to join Bayleys as a husband and wife team was made by Richard Cashmore, their decision was an easy one to make, as it was just a continuation of dealings with housing over many years and they also had faith in the Brand of Bayleys. |
