Jamie Grunwell

New real estate sales professional, Jamie Grunwell, has been propelled into an industry highly suited to his diverse skills. Having specialised in managing risk, Jamie has strong negotiation skills that focus on positives outcomes. He says managing risk is all about managing positive outcomes for people and his skills will transfer very well into the service-orientated real estate industry.


When most people think of diversity, they usually think about social and demographic backgrounds, but for Jamie diversity spans everything from business specialisation to management and markets. This broad definition of diversity will help him succeed and to drive sales as the market recovers.


A highly motivated self-starter, Jamie believes he has found his niche in real estate, an industry which offers flexibility, self employment and unlimited rewards for those prepared to do the hard yards. He is not intimidated by challenges. Jamie bases his performance on the superior application of the fundamentals including trust, honesty and openness, the ability to listen and to question intelligently.


Jamie grew up locally and has worked in the forestry, horticulture and construction industries; he managed a forest nursery facility before moving to Auckland to pursue a career in managing compliance and risk. Jamie returned to Rotorua a couple of years later to enjoy the recreational lifestyle Rotorua has to offer. Since his return Jamie’s vocation has been managing risk within the civil construction industry.


He is married to Angela and the couple have two young sons.
