Geoff BarlowGeoff joined our Bayleys Tauranga sales team in May 2003 after commencing his successful career in real estate with another company in Tauranga in 1998. His personal contribution to the team performance is highly valued. Geoff is well known for his commitment to “Going the Extra Mile” for his clients to ensure they receive first class service and the very best result possible – no matter how long that takes! During 2009, this determination was clearly demonstrated when he successfully completed a half ironman event, a 2.8 km ocean swimming event and then the Rotorua Marathon – all within a few months of each other and all first time efforts. Geoff prides himself on being available at any time and welcomes the opportunity to share his experience on any real estate issues. Geoff’s previous professional background encompassed twenty years in the financial markets – he commenced trading foreign exchange here in New Zealand, then worked in London, Sydney and finally back in Auckland. In 1990 Geoff moved his family to Tauranga to manage a kiwifruit orchard which had been purchased in 1988. Over the following eight years he enjoyed being a part time “Home Dad” whilst also contracting in the landscape business, building swimming pools and other structural landscaping. Geoff serves his local community through being an active Rotarian, he is a Trust Member of The Life Education Trust – Western Bay of Plenty, and he is a proud supporter and active volunteer with Waikaraka Estuary Managers – a group committed to restoring the Estuary in Te Puna where Geoff now resides. Any spare time is enjoyed keeping fit, sailing, cycling or skiing. |
